As part of PIA’s Corporate Social Responsibility, the National Flag Carrier signed a Mou with The Association of Pakistani Descent of North America, Chicago (APPNA) for facilitation of Heath Care Services in Pakistan.
The Mou was signed by Managing Director PIA, Captain Muhammad Aijaz Haroon and Dr. Mushtaq Sharif, Chairman -Office Management Committee of APPNA at a ceremony held at Chicago, USA.
Under the agreement, PIA and APPNA agreed upon mobilizing their resources to offer better and quality medical care in Pakistan.
PIA will facilitate transportation of medical supplies including medicines, medical equipments and books from North American Destinations to Pakistan.
Whereas APPNA will offer their services in the form of volunteer physicians, technical and consultation support to various charitable projects in Pakistan including designated health care projects of PIA.
