Microsoft Pakistan today announced the next generation of productivity applications, making Pakistani users a part of the 90 million existing business customers from all over the world. The announcement was made at a launch ceremony held at Pearl Continental, Lahore.
The new applications include Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Microsoft Visio 2010 and Microsoft Project 2010.
Professionals from all over Pakistan were present to see Microsoft unveil its most widely used software under the Wave 14 platform; that have allowed users to become more productive and efficient.
Before unveiling Wave 14, Kamal Ahmed, Country Manager Microsoft Pakistan said, “Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 define the future of productivity. With the 2010 set of products, organizations will save, innovate and grow as their people benefit from working across the PC, phone and browser.”
Wave 14 launch products are being heralded as Productivity Solutions across the PC, Phone and Browser. The new range is providing users with a better user-friendly interface for their computers, mobile phones and browsers, making it even easier for them to create, communicate and collaborate from any location.
Present at the event, Azhar Jafri, Director IT and Back Office, Wi-Tribe, Pakistan said, “Wi-tribe is focused; delivering the best internet service across its network of operations. To support our goal, Wi-tribe chose Microsoft Information Worker applications globally for internal use. We found that both Microsoft Office 2010 and SharePoint enable our employees to innovate in a productive environment, providing enterprise capabilities within our organization and significantly improving output and collaboration.”
Wave 14 focuses on three key user experiences. Organization can now get the flexibility, choice, and value they need to solve problems. With an integrated infrastructure, businesses can deploy, manage and help secure corporate assets and comply with government regulations more easily. This may be one of the winning strategies that form the legacy of Microsoft’s products.
