Mobile banking has more potential than E Commerce said Chairman PTA Dr. Muhammad Yaseen. He was addressing to 3rd International MCB Mobile Commerce Conference 2010. This conference was organized by PTA and of TOTAL Communication with the support of State Bank. Dr. Yaseen said that number of mobile users is much higher than number of Computer users and mobile user can easily understand its functions and operation and they can use mobile banking through SMS and Mobile Internet, and Banks have more opportunity to bring non bank people in their customer base. Governor State Bank Yaseen Anwer said that State Bank has prepared guideline for Mobile Banking and even Telcos can provide banking services and in this way a very large part of the population can benefit Banking services and this is really a great achievement. He said that Mobile banking is convenient and cheaper than conventional banking and in this way banking sector can stretch its services to every nook and corner of the country. SEVP (Corporate Development) Sikandar Naqi elaborated the services PTCL is provided to Banking sector as well as the infrastructure available for ICT sector. A large number of prominent personalities attended the Conference and also commented the event very important for the growth of Mobile Banking in the country.
