It was surprising to see the new TVC of Telenor Easy Paisa, Please, don’t take me wrong, I wasn’t surprised by the ultimate creativity of the ad but was actually wondering if we have any one left with creative brains in our advertising industry, as, this TVC is a true copy of the TVC of HTC. HTC Corporation, formerly High Tech Computer Corporation, is a Taiwan-based manufacturer of smartphones. The company initially made smartphones based primarily on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile software, but in 2009 it began to shift its focus away from Windows Mobile devices, to devices based on the Android operating system.
Ethics is something which should be considered deceasing in our advertising industry as our advertisers go on copying the ads unflinchingly without giving a second thought to the fact that our audience is getting skeptical day by day as it is very easy to seize your theft – thanks to the internet. Hence, one should rather work creatively not only to maintain their level of creativity but also to make the audience belief that the word “Creativity” is not an infant to the dictionary of our advertisers and morality is still alive.

i am really surprised that why companies do not go for legal proceedings because the same happens in case of music and movies or any other personal creative work.
All the blames to be given to Agency whereas all the Brand Managers were sleeping when they approved it.
I like the ad. but heavy salaried people at agencies and the brand people, a sorry state of creativity. Its not just Telenor but other companies do it it also. we have to live with it.
