In a recent development in the social networking domain, the social networking giant Facebook has won a patent for its news feed section.
By winning of this patent by the Facebook means alarming news for the other social networking sites which include Twitter and MySpace.
News feed section of the Facebook includes the activities of the friends and the groups that the users have joined and a live news feed about them.
Now the main problem that has arose for the other social networking sites is that if they use the news feed section it will be a part of the copyright violation and they can be sued by Facebook.
So bad times have started for the likes of Twitter and MySpace.
Facebook hasn't really STARTED a new section actually. They have just amended the Home Page of a users account to change automatically as a user's friends do something noticable. The only new thing is that formerly you had to refresh the home page to see the notifications and messages and now it is done automatically even if you are on the same page.
