Yesterday, a work shop on online marketing and its future was held in Lahore which was backed by Google and PASHA. Badar Khushnood, Pakistan Country Consultant, Google Inc briefed on various aspects including scope and benefits of Online Marketing. The workshop was attended by marketer and representative from different companies.

Badar highlighted that how fast Print and TV mediums are losing their readers and viewers respectively and online medium is getting popular at the same time with tremendous pace. To a question by Badar, all the hundred participants told that they spent more time on facebook and other similar online communities in their daily lives and very few of them revealed that they are spending more than 30 minutes on a daily newspaper.

“Products and services sellers have a chance to sell extra by utilizing the Pull Marketing technique instead of Push Marketing technique. There are 20 million internet users in Pakistan and around 50 million unique mobile phone connections which are active, so combined becomes a very lucrative market for anyone who desires to go online and expand the business. Google offers dozens of tools to support everyone which are cost effective as compared to Yahoo and MSN. So, it’s time to start thinking and consider online medium as one of the major tools for your business expansion”, briefed Badar.
