In its endeavour to boost the adoption of mobile broadband in the UAE, Etisalat recently announced yet another spectacular mobile broadband bundle promotion for its customers, providing an attractive discount of 54 pct. Beginning from10th September till 9th November, customers can now purchase a USB Modem, 10GB data subscription for one month and a data SIM card all for just AED499. The price for these products is AED 1084, if purchased separately, hence the bundle provides the customers, a substantial discount of 54%. Customers can also avail 2500 More Reward points, on purchase of the bundle within the offer period.
The HSPA USB Modem MF633 weighs less than 30 grams and has the capability to automatically use the fastest available mobile broadband connection speed. The modem has a download speed of 7.2Mbps (HSDPA) and an upload speed of 5.7Mbps (HSUPA). Other features include 3.5G data download, SMS service and SD memory slot. The modem is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista and MAC operating systems and can be used through a simple plug and play mechanism with PC/SC driver.
Etisalat had earlier announced the completion of its nationwide upgrade of its 3.5G mobile network to enable mobile broadband download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, the fastest in the region. Combined with its nationwide investment in fiber-optic infrastructure, Etisalat is now able to deliver the fastest connectivity and one of the richest mobile broadband experiences in the world using an end-to-end All-IP network.
The bundle discount aims to provide convenient and flexible Internet access, anytime, anywhere to the customers who surf the Internet through their cell phones and mobile broadband devices. Etisalat has been supporting the cause of advancing mobile broadband penetration in the UAE, by providing 3G coverage to the 99% of the populated areas of the UAE.
Commenting on the new package, Khalifa Al Shamsi, Acting Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat, said,” Etisalat believes that mobile broadband is the future of the internet, with the ever increasing need to ‘feel connected’ everywhere, on the move. Customers can avail the discount by purchasing the package through any Etisalat business center or outlets across the country.
