Protesters will be punished, says PTCL

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced that it will take disciplinary action against persons involved in the protests to stop the smooth workflow of the organization, reported The News.

SEVP, HR, PTCL Syed Mazhar Hussain said in a press conference that the company has served showcause notices to around 180 employees, while another 50 have been suspended from the job.

Syed Mazhar said that the Line staff union was using black mailing tactics to pressurize the company but we are not to give in. He said the PTCL Board had already announced an increase in the salaries of the employees in accordance with the earlier rise announced by the government.
