Talking to the National Assembly Session, Federal Defense Minister Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar said that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is currently facing financial deficit of Rs. 76.54 billion.
He said that devaluation of the rupee against the dollar, increase in oil prices, restrictions by European Union and increase in the expenditures are the basic reasons that have really made PIA suffer. He also informed that 3 planes of National Airlines have been grounded after completing their life but no new planes are bought in their position.
